Popular riding areas around Finale
- NATO Base – the classic high start point above Finale, with long descents back towards the sea.
- Melogno and the Rollercoaster – flowing, fast singletrack through the woods.
- Le Manie – a plateau above the coast with rocky, sea-view trails close to town.
- Feglino – technical, rocky lines on the other side of the valley.
When to ride
Finale is rideable almost all year. Autumn, winter and spring are the favourite seasons, with mild temperatures and grippy dirt; in mid-summer it’s best to ride early in the morning or in the evening to avoid the heat.
Getting there
Genoa airport is about an hour’s drive away and Nice about two hours. Finale Ligure Marina has a train station on the coastal line, and most guides can arrange shuttles from your accommodation.
