About

Looking for a Finalborgo bike hotel? Hotel Florenz is set up for mountain bikers, with secure bike storage, a bike wash, a workshop with tools, e-bike charging, bike rental and laundry for riding kit.

Hotel Florenz is a family-run bike hotel on the edge of Finale Ligure, a few steps from the old village of Finalborgo and under a kilometre from the beach. It suits trail riders who want a simple, well-equipped base, with B&B or half-board options.

Bikes are kept in a closed bike room with camera monitoring. There is a wash area with cleaning products and a pump, plus a small workshop for repairs. You can charge e-bike batteries at the hotel and send riding kit through the in-house laundry, and staff hand out maps and GPS tracks. Bike rental and airport transfers can be arranged on request.

You can pedal from the hotel into the Finale Outdoor Region network, which mixes flowing enduro singletrack, rocky descents and sea views. Uplift services run in the area, and the climbs above Finalborgo are close by.

Best rides from Finalborgo

  • Perti trail to Castel Gavone – a gentle, easy singletrack that drops down past the castle ruins right above Finalborgo. Ideal for beginners and a good choice on a wet day.
  • San Bernardino – a riding zone close to the old town, home to the Dolmen trail. A short climb or shuttle from the village gets you there, and it suits intermediate riders.
  • Rollercoaster with the Colonello prologue – a long day of about 39 km and 1,400 m of climbing that finishes back in Finalborgo, on mostly flowing, medium-graded trails.
  • Feglino trails – a quieter inland zone with natural trails such as Cromagnon, Little Champery and Pino Morto, plus Supergroppo, which flows back into Finalborgo. Short shuttle from the village.
  • Isallo Extasy – a classic all-day ride inland from Melogno, roughly 50 km with plenty of medium-level singletrack.

Getting to Finalborgo

Finalborgo lies just inland from the seafront, so travel is the same as for Finale Ligure. Genoa airport is about an hour away by car, and Nice, with its wide choice of UK flights, around an hour and 45 minutes. The nearest railway station is Finale Ligure Marina on the coastal line, a short ride or taxi from the old town.

Many shuttle operators pick up in and around Finalborgo, so a car is optional once you have arrived.

When to ride

A Finalborgo bike hotel works well from March to November, and the low coastal hills stay rideable through most winters too. The best months are April, May, June, September and October. High summer is hot and some uplifts pause, while late autumn leaves and storms can make the trails slippery. Higher zones such as Melogno can be cloudy when the coast is clear, so keep a low-level ride in reserve.
