Multi-Day MTB Trips in Oaxaca – Two Wheel Epix
Week-long guided enduro trips in Oaxaca and across Latin America
About
For riders who want a full week of trails, culture and food sorted for them, Two Wheel Epix runs Multi-Day MTB Trips in Oaxaca and further afield. The company calls itself a mountain bike collaborative offering “life-changing” tours around the world, built for intermediate to pro-level riders.
Oaxaca is the heart of their calendar: several departures a year, a bike-to-beach itinerary and an ongoing community project to build new trails and supply bikes for local riders. Trips are hosted by names such as Jason Gainey, the “MTB Wizard”, a professional mountain biker and coach with more than 45 years on the bike, and run with bilingual local riding and cultural guides at a ratio of one guide and driver per four travellers. The company says 70% of trip fees stay in the communities where guests ride, eat and sleep.
A typical week mixes riding with time off the bike: a street-art tour in Oaxaca City, an optional sunrise hike in the Sierra Norte and plenty of regional food. The trip page rates fitness at 2 out of 3 and lists an average ride distance of about 105 km, so a solid base of fitness pays off, and the welcome pack and signature jersey are a nice touch at the start.

Recent Oaxaca departures run in November and from late January into February, during the region’s dry season, when trails are at their firmest. Check the calendar on their site for current dates. Upcoming departures listed include 7–14 November 2026 and 30 January – 6 February 2027, with a Guatemala Gravity Enduro running in late October 2026.

Tips for your Multi-Day MTB Trips in Oaxaca
- Bring a well-serviced 140–160 mm trail or enduro bike and spares.
- Take out travel insurance that covers mountain biking, medical care and evacuation – it’s required.
- Budget for guide tips (10–20% is suggested) and the dinners that aren’t included.
- Ixtepeji sits high in the mountains, so pack warm layers for the cabaña nights.
