Taos Bike Park – Lift-Served Flow Trails at Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico
Lift-served flow trails high in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains
About
Taos Ski Valley turns into a mountain bike destination in summer. Taos Bike Park runs downhill flow trails from the top of Lift 4 down into Kachina Basin, with lines for riders of all levels.
Two lift-served zones
The bike park off Lift 4 is the main area for downhill and flow riding. Near the base, Lift 1 serves the Pioneer Flow Trails, which are aimed at novice to intermediate riders. The resort says these were among the first lift-accessed novice flow trails in the country. Together they make a good place to try lift-served riding for the first time.
Rentals and lessons
Bikes and gear can be rented on site at the bike park. Bikes and e-bikes are also available from TAOS Sports in the ski valley and from Rift Cycles in the town of Taos. Downhill lessons are offered, and instructors shape each session around your goals.
Beyond the lifts
The ski valley is surrounded by the Carson National Forest, which has plenty of trail riding if you want to pedal away from the lifts.
Good to know
In 2026 the lifts ran Friday to Sunday, 10 am to 4:30 pm, until September 27, weather permitting. The base sits at over 9,000 feet, so bring layers and water. Check the resort website for current tickets and lesson booking.
