Sun Mountain Lodge is a hilltop resort above Winthrop and a classic Mountain Bike Lodge in the Methow Valley. It sits in its own trail network, so you can start riding right from your room, and the lodge rents bikes on site.
Bike facilities
The lodge rents front-suspension Giant mountain bikes for full or half days, plus e-bikes for half days. Rentals open in late spring once the snow has gone.
Trails nearby
More than 40 miles of singletrack and doubletrack start at the lodge. Pete’s Dragon and Magpie are local favorites, and the nearly flat loop around Beaver Pond suits families and new riders. In winter the same trails become part of the Methow Valley’s famous Nordic network. More valley riding is a short drive away in Winthrop and Mazama.
