Snow Summit Bike Park – Lift-Served Mountain Biking in Big Bear Lake, California
Lift-served bike park at 8,200 ft, two hours from LA
About
Snow Summit Bike Park is the summer side of Big Bear Mountain Resort in Southern California. Snow Summit Bike Park is lift-served, tops out at 8,200 feet and is the closest big bike park to Los Angeles and San Diego.
Riding at Snow Summit
Chairlifts carry riders and bikes up the mountain, and a trail map for the 2026 season covers the full network. In 2026 the park opened on June 5 and ran daily. Afternoon tickets from 1 to 4 pm and one-way tickets suit shorter visits. Some lifts also allow e-bikes, so check the resort’s e-bike access table before you go.
Lessons, rentals and repairs
The resort runs group and private mountain bike lessons for riders aged 6 and up, booked online. Mountain bikes and protective gear can be rented, and the repair shop does tune-ups and fixes.
Tickets
Advance day tickets cost $39 to $55 Monday to Thursday and $45 to $59 Friday to Sunday. Window rates are higher. Kids 4 and under and riders 80 and over ride free. Military get 25% off window rates. Holders of a 2026 Mammoth Bike Park pass pay $39 (adult) or $24 (child).
Good to know
Summer riding starts once the snow melts, usually in early June. Opening hours in 2026 were 10 am to 4 pm on weekdays and 9 am to 4 pm on weekends. Buy tickets and reserve rentals on the Big Bear Mountain Resort website.
