Mountain Bike Tours in Slieve Bloom – Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike Centre

Slieve Bloom Mountain Bike Centre, part of Mid Ireland Adventure, offers Mountain Bike Tours in Slieve Bloom from its trailhead base in Kinnitty, Co. Offaly. The Slieve Bloom Mountains sit right in the middle of Ireland, with quiet forest trails at Kinnitty and Baunreagh and big views over the midlands.

Rides are led by fully qualified MBLA Trail Cycle Leaders, the Cycling Ireland leader award for guiding on trails. The leaders also hold remote first aid certificates.

Guided rides and skills lessons

The team runs guided tours of the Kinnitty and Slieve Bloom trails for visitors who want to ride the best loops without worrying about the route. Newer riders can book a core skills lesson first to learn braking, body position and cornering before heading out on the trails.

Bike and e-bike hire

The centre rents full-suspension bikes, hardtails, junior bikes and Orbea Keram e-bikes. A hardtail costs €40 for three hours and €55 for six hours. An e-bike or full-suspension bike costs €60 for three hours and €85 for six hours.

Good to know

The centre is at Ardmore House in Kinnitty and is open daily from 9:30 to 19:30. Kinnitty is about 90 minutes from Dublin by car, which makes the Slieve Bloom trails a good day trip or a stop on the way west.
