RIMS Romanian Institute for MTB Skills – MTB Instructor & Guide Courses in Brașov

RIMS – the Romanian Institute for MTB Skills – is an organisation dedicated to training mountain bike guides and instructors to European standards. As an aspiring member of the European Organisation of Mountain Bike Instructors and Guides (EOMTBING), RIMS brings the European MTB instructor-guide training programme to Romania, following the standards of countries such as France and Switzerland.

The institute runs the MTB instructor-guide course in modules, starting each spring in Brașov, with a guiding module, an optional e-bike guide specialisation and an MTB coaching & guiding camp. Its Improve Your Riding course is a 100% practical module for riders who want better bike control on technical natural terrain – off-camber climbs and descents, drops, flat corners, rock gardens, pumping and line choice – on the trails of Tâmpa, Poiana Brașov, Postăvaru and Piatra Mare.

The RIMS training team includes EOMTBING-certified instructor-guides, MIAS-qualified guides, UIMLA International Mountain Leaders, a Salvamont mountain rescuer and coaches from the Romanian national DH team. Graduates also get support to set up their own MTB schools and access to a network of guiding companies in Europe.
