About
Rhythm Japan runs Mountain Bike Lessons in Hakuba from its MTB store in the Hakuba valley, and also coaches in Niseko from its Rhythm Hirafu store. Lessons in Hakuba use Hakuba Iwatake MTB Park; in Niseko they use the Grand Hirafu and NAMBA trails and skills parks.
Private coaching
Three-hour private lessons start at 9:00 or 13:00 and are tailored to each rider’s goals, whether that is downhill, flow or enduro skills. Lessons are for riders aged 7 and up, in small groups of similar ability, in English or Japanese.
Prices and rental
A three-hour lesson with rental (Specialized full-suspension or e-bike and helmet) costs ¥34,000 for two riders, plus ¥12,000 for each extra rider. A lesson without rental costs ¥25,000. Lift passes are extra.
Good to know
The 2026 season ran from 30 May to 18 October in Hakuba and from 30 May to 27 September in Niseko. The Hakuba store is open daily from 8:00 to 18:00.
