About
Looking for a bike hotel in Morzine? The Rhodos Hotel is set up for mountain bikers, with secure bike storage, a bike wash, a workshop with tools and e-bike charging.
The Rhodos is a 19-room hotel in the centre of Morzine, on Rue du Bourg, just a short walk from the Pleney and Super Morzine lifts. It has a lively bar downstairs, and in summer the rooms are offered on a room-only basis, leaving you free to explore the town’s cafés and restaurants.
The hotel is clearly set up for riders. There is secure on-site bike storage, a jet wash for cleaning off the mud, and workshop space for assembling and servicing your bike. E-bikes can be charged at the hotel, and bike storage is included for guests.
Morzine sits at the heart of the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest lift-served mountain bike areas in the world, with dozens of marked downhill runs, a long cross-border enduro loop and endless natural singletrack between France and Switzerland. Staying in the village puts you right next to the lifts, and certified local guides can help you find the best trails for your level.

Best rides from Morzine
- Pleney Bike Park – a few minutes’ walk from the village centre to the gondola, with smooth green and blue runs for warming up, wooded enduro-style trails and the steep, rooty Pleney black downhill that has been running since 1997.
- Charniaz Skills Bike Park – a progressive area with small features on the Pleney side, ideal for newer riders or a morning of technique work before tackling the main lines.
- Les Gets link – an easy blue trail from the top of Pleney drops you towards Les Gets, opening up its Chavannes and Mont Chéry lifts without needing the car.
- Avoriaz and the Portes du Soleil tour – the Super Morzine and Prodains lifts take you up towards Avoriaz, the gateway to the wider Portes du Soleil network of around 650 km of trails across five bike parks.
Getting to Morzine
Geneva is the closest airport, about 64 km away, and the drive takes roughly an hour to an hour and a quarter depending on traffic through the valley. Shared minibus transfers and on-demand airport shuttles run throughout the summer, which saves the hassle of hiring a car and fitting a bike box into it.
By rail, the nearest stations are Thonon-les-Bains and Cluses, both reachable from Geneva on the Léman Express, with regional coaches continuing up into the mountains. Annecy and Lyon airports are longer alternatives if flights into Geneva are full.
When to ride
Staying at a bike hotel in Morzine puts you right at the start of the lift-served season, which in 2026 ran daily from mid-June to mid-September on the Pleney, with some higher Morzine lifts closing at the end of August. June brings quieter trails and lush forest, July and August are busiest and warmest, and early September often gives the best mix of dry dirt and fewer crowds. Afternoon thunderstorms can roll in during high summer, so plan the big laps for the morning.
