Racepark Schulenberg – Downhill & Freeride Bike Park in the Harz
7 trails from flow to hard downhill in the Upper Harz – built by riders for 20 years
About
Racepark Schulenberg in the Upper Harz has been built and run by riders for 20 years – without an investor, and with a lot of passion. The park sits on the mountainside above Schulenberg im Oberharz, near Clausthal-Zellerfeld in Lower Saxony, and is known for short lift queues and some of the toughest downhill riding in northern Germany.
There are 7 trails, and no two are alike: a demanding downhill track with 165 m of descent over 1.4 km (with bypasses on all the jumps), a fast, flowy freeride line, the modern Stempelstieg downhill with gaps, step-downs and rock fields, the root-filled natural Hidden Track, the BikerCross jump line, a flow trail of almost 3.5 km – the longest in the park – and OnAir, a big jump line for experienced riders only.
The park opens at weekends, on public holidays and bridge days – 10:00 to 18:00 in summer and 10:00 until sunset in winter. It stays closed in rain or wet conditions, so check Instagram or Facebook before you go. Bike and gear rental is available.
