About

Mount Sima is the ski hill for Whitehorse, and in summer it becomes the Yukon’s lift-served bike park. Mount Sima Bike Park sits about 15 minutes from downtown Whitehorse, so it is easy to fit in a few laps during a northern trip.

The trails

The park offers lift-accessed downhill riding for intermediate to advanced riders. Travel Yukon lists two blue runs, one expert black run and two extreme black lines. Runs range from smooth, flowing intermediate trails to technical descents with challenging features.

Bikes and rentals

You can bring your own bike or rent one. Mount Sima says rental bikes come from the Icycle Sports fleet, and other bike shops in downtown Whitehorse also rent bikes.

More than bikes

In summer the hill also has disc golf and glamping, which can make it a good base for a mixed group where not everyone wants to ride.

Good to know

The bike park runs in the summer months. Hours and ticket prices are posted on the Mount Sima website each season, so check before you go. The hill is at 770 Mt Sima Road. Call 867-668-4557 or email [email protected] with questions.
