Bike Park Resort in Virginia – Massanutten Resort

Massanutten Resort is a four-season resort in the Shenandoah Valley near Harrisonburg, and in summer and fall it doubles as a Bike Park Resort in Virginia. You can sleep on the mountain, ride the lift all day and be back at your room without touching the car.

Bike facilities

The resort’s bike shop handles rentals and on-the-spot repairs such as flats, wheel truing and brake or derailleur adjustments. The rental fleet covers downhill, enduro, trail, hardtail and kids’ bikes, with full-face helmets and pads included in the downhill package, plus electric-assist bikes for the cross-country trails. Major overhauls are referred to shops in Harrisonburg, about 30 minutes away.

Trails nearby

The lift-served bike park has trails from beginner flow lines to expert tracks such as World Cup and All or Nutten. Season passes also cover the Western Slope trail network and its shuttle, and Harrisonburg’s George Washington National Forest riding is close by.

Massanutten offers resort lodging on the mountain, and the bike park has sold Pathway lodging packages that bundle two or more nights with a riding class, discounted lift tickets and a dining credit.

Good to know

The bike park closes in early November for the ski season, so check the season dates before booking.
