About

Marquette Mountain is a ski area just south of Marquette on Lake Superior, and Marquette Mountain Bike Park opens its slopes to mountain bikers in summer. The resort opened its bike park in 2021 and runs a lift for bikes, so riders can get laps in without the climb.

Riding

The park has purpose-built downhill and enduro trails on the ski hill, and it links into the wider Marquette trail scene, one of the best-known riding areas in the Midwest. A trail day pass is needed for access, and bike lift tickets are sold for lift-served laps. Day and summer season passes are available through the resort’s online shop.

Events

The resort hosts the Marquette Trails Fest, which in 2026 ran from June 25 to 28 with practice laps, an enduro race and a downhill race. Expect some trail closures on race days.

Good to know

The bike park usually opens in June and runs through the summer, with fall scenic lift rides later in the year. Opening days and prices change each season, so check the resort’s hours page and buy passes online before you go. Bike rentals are listed on the resort website. Call the resort for current trail conditions.
