About
Kicking Horse Mountain Resort runs Kicking Horse Bike Park just outside Golden, BC. A gondola provides access to the trails, with more than 1,100 m of descent from the top. It is one of the biggest vertical drops of any bike park in Canada.
Trails
The park has 31 trails: 5 easy, 16 intermediate, 7 difficult and 3 extra difficult. The resort lists more than 35 km of trail and over 120 drops and jumps. Lower trails such as Easy Rider and Magic Carpet suit newer riders. Higher up, the runs get steep and rough.
Lessons
The resort mountain bike school offers lessons for riders who want help on their first lift-served day. Lesson and rental packages are sold through the resort.
Good to know
The 2026 season ran from June 19 to September 27. Golden is also a good base for Mount 7 and the town trail networks. Buy lift tickets and summer passes on the Kicking Horse website.
