About

Looking for a bike hotel in Les Gets? Hôtel Bellevue is set up for mountain bikers, with secure bike storage and a bike wash.

Hotel Bellevue is a three-star hotel in the centre of Les Gets, at the foot of the slopes, with its own bar and restaurant, L’Aprèski. In summer it is a relaxed base for riders who want lift-assisted days in the Portes du Soleil without a long trip to the lifts.

The facilities are simple but useful. Bikes go into the storage room that serves as a ski room in winter, and there is a bike wash stand for cleaning up after a day in the park. Guests get discounts on bike hire at partner shops. Rooms are bed and breakfast, and a separate guest house suits small groups.

Les Gets BikePark, a regular World Cup venue, is reached by lifts from the village, and the wider Portes du Soleil network links across to Morzine and beyond for big days out.

Why stay at this bike hotel in Les Gets

Best rides from Les Gets

  • Mont Chéry – the gondola serves the resort’s toughest terrain, including the Ellipse Line, the DH Noire and the World Cup downhill track; strictly for confident, experienced riders.
  • Chavannes sector – the Chavannes Express and Nauchets Express chairlifts open up the bulk of the bike park, from flowing blues such as La Roue Libre to the Tomahawk, Four Cross and freeride lines.
  • Jump park and skills zone – a 3-hectare jump area with lines graded green to black, plus a beginners’ skills area at the top of the Chavannes Express for practising braking, body position and small obstacles.
  • The Squirrels (Les Écureuils) – a gentle green that makes the ideal first run for children and nervous riders.
  • La Grande Liaison – the link trail over to Morzine, your route into the wider Portes du Soleil network on the same pass.

Getting to Les Gets

Geneva airport is around 55 to 65 km away, roughly an hour to an hour and a quarter by car. Annecy airport (about 82 km) and Lyon (about 170 km) are alternatives. Most riders book a private or shared transfer, which takes care of bike boxes too.

Without a car, take the train from Geneva airport into Geneva, then the Léman Express to Cluses or Thonon-les-Bains. From there, the Y92 bus (Cluses, 22 km away) or Y91 bus (Thonon) climbs up to the village.

When to ride

The bike park usually opens on weekends from late May using the Chavannes and Nauchets chairlifts, then runs daily from mid-June to mid-September, with Mont Chéry open from late June until the end of August. Booking a bike hotel in Les Gets for early or late season gets you quieter trails and cooler temperatures, while July and August offer the full lift network and the longest days. Expect warm afternoons with the odd thunderstorm in midsummer.
