Hinton Bike Park – Free Skills, Jump and Flow Park in Hinton, Alberta
Free community bike park with pump tracks, jumps and flow trails in Hinton
About
Hinton Bike Park is a community-built riding area on the edge of Hinton, on the Yellowhead Highway east of Jasper. Hinton Bike Park was created by the Hinton Mountain Bike Association together with the Town of Hinton, and it is free for everyone.
What you can ride
The park covers 37 acres of foothill terrain, with about a quarter developed so far. There is a skills area with teeter-totters, ladder bridges and balance logs, beginner and advanced pump tracks, table-top jumps from 2 to 5 feet, and upper and lower drop zones. Flow trails such as Flow Master and Stinger are built for speed and cornering.
More trails nearby
The park links to the Happy Creek trail system, which has over 30 km of cross-country singletrack, and it gives access to the Bighorn Ridge trails. That makes it easy to mix park laps with a longer trail ride.
Who it suits
Kids and new riders can build skills on the features and pump tracks. Stronger riders will enjoy the jumps, drops and flow lines. There is no lift, so you pedal up.
Good to know
The prime season is spring to fall, and spring conditions can cause closures. Entry is free, and you only need a bike and helmet. The park is at 281 Robb Road, off Highway 16 at Switzer Drive.
