Mountain Bike Guide in Orsières – Exoride
Swiss Cycling certified guiding, shuttles and coaching in Valais
About
If you are looking for a mountain bike guide in Orsières, Exoride is a small, rider-run outfit based right in the Pays du Saint-Bernard, a short hop from Verbier, Champex and the Val Ferret. Founder Christian “Chris” Dassi runs guided shuttle days, day tours, multi-day trips and skills coaching across Lower and Upper Valais, with groups kept small so everyone gets proper attention on the trail.
Chris has been on two wheels since 1989 and guiding in Valais since 2010. Exoride’s own website describes him as a “Swiss Cycling certified MTB guide and instructor”, and he still races. Over the years he has coached hundreds of riders, and the site grades every outing for technical and physical difficulty, so you can pick something that genuinely suits your level. Guiding and coaching are offered in French, English and German.

- Check the technical and physical grades on each outing and be honest about your level – it makes for a better day for everyone.
- Bring a full-face helmet and knee pads for enduro shuttle days; protection can be rented if you travel light.
- Alpine weather changes fast, so pack a waterproof layer and warm gloves even on sunny mornings.
- Book early for weekends and summer dates, as groups are small and fill quickly.
