Châtel Bike Park

Châtel Bike Park sits at Pré-la-Joux above the village of Châtel, in the French part of the Portes du Soleil. Two chairlifts, Pierre Longue and Rochassons, carry riders up to a network of 22 lines looked after by a dedicated bike patrol.

The trail mix leans toward the challenging end, with ten black runs and six reds, but there are also blue and green options for building confidence. Two slopestyle areas, including a pro line with big doubles and a wall ride, and a pump track make it a favourite for jump lovers. A kids’ area is on site too.

Mountain bikes and e-MTBs can be rented at the base, and local instructors run downhill, enduro and e-bike lessons. Châtel also links into the wider Portes du Soleil network, so you can mix park laps with long enduro days across the border into Switzerland.
