About
Cahaba Cycles is a Birmingham-area bike shop with a store at Oak Mountain in Pelham, on the doorstep of Oak Mountain State Park. The shop offers Mountain Bike Rental at Oak Mountain, so visitors can ride the park’s well-known singletrack without bringing a bike.
The fleet
Rentals include hardtail and full suspension mountain bikes, plus hardtail and full suspension e-bikes in carbon and alloy frames. Every rental bike comes with pedals, a repair kit, a bottle cage and a helmet. You can choose SPD, Crank Brothers or flat pedals. Hitch racks and tailgate pads are also available if your vehicle has a 2-inch receiver.
How rentals work
Rentals run for 24 hours, and bikes go back to the store where you picked them up. Optional damage cover is offered, from $10 for a hardtail to $35 for a full suspension bike and $50 for a full suspension e-bike. A $25 cleaning fee applies if a bike comes back too muddy to wash.
Good to know
Reserve online or call the Oak Mountain store at least 24 hours ahead. Same-day rentals depend on what is in stock, and e-bikes may need time to charge. Cahaba Cycles also rents bikes at its Cahaba Heights, Trussville and Gadsden stores. Rental rates are given at booking.
