About

Burke Mountain Resort runs Burke Bike Park in East Burke, in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, right next to the Kingdom Trails network. The park offers about 25 miles of terrain and 2,115 feet of vertical.

Trails and access

The park has around two dozen trails rated green, blue, black and double black. The lower trails are lift-served from the Sherburne base. Three expert-only descents start from the summit, reached by a summit shuttle or by driving the toll road yourself. A combined add-on gives access to both the park and cross-country trails.

Lessons

Group lessons are two-hour sessions for four to five riders and include a lift ticket, demo bike, helmet and pads. Private two-hour lessons are also offered, with bike rental and lift ticket as add-ons. A junior program runs through the summer.

Rentals

The rental shop in the Igloo at the Sherburne Base Lodge has Transition bikes for all-mountain and park riding, an e-bike, and youth and kids’ bikes. Helmet and pads are included with each rental.

Good to know

In 2026 the park opened in early June and closed on Monday October 12. It ran Thursday to Sunday in summer, then Friday to Sunday from late September. Riders 18 and under and 70 and over pay a reduced rate. Call the base lodge for questions and check the website for 2027 dates.
