Bike Wentworth – Lift-Served Downhill Bike Park in Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia's only lift-accessed downhill bike park

About

Ski Wentworth is a ski hill in the Wentworth Valley, between Truro and Amherst. In summer, Bike Wentworth runs what it calls Nova Scotia’s only lift-accessible downhill mountain bike park, with more than 40 km of trails split between a Lift Zone and a Climb Zone.

Trails

The Lift Zone uses the chairlift for downhill laps. The Climb Zone trails are pedal-access, open daily from dawn to dusk and not patrolled. Hiking trails and disc golf are on site too.

Bike school

A Downhill Fundamental Session costs CA$185 plus HST and includes a 1.5-hour group lesson with an instructor, an all-day lift pass, bike rental and safety gear. A four-hour private clinic for up to three riders is CA$289 plus HST. StepUp Sessions for kids aged 6 to 15 run over four Saturdays. Lessons are also available in French.

Rentals

Dave Wilson’s Bike Shop rents downhill, enduro, trail, e-bikes and youth bikes, plus protective gear.

Good to know

The lift usually runs weekends from mid-June, Friday to Sunday in July and August, and weekends until mid-October. Season passes go on sale in the fall. Buy passes online and check social media for weather updates.
