Keweenaw Mountain Lodge sits at the top of the Copper Harbor Trail System, which makes it a natural pick for anyone looking for a Mountain Bike Lodge in Copper Harbor. Trailheads are right on the property, so guests can roll out of their cabins onto beginner, intermediate and advanced trails.
Bike facilities
The lodge built a bike wash and mechanic station in 2020 that cabin guests can use whenever they like. Trek full-suspension bikes and kids’ bikes are available to rent on site, and lodging guests get 10% off rentals. Rentals include a helmet and a small kit with spare tube, tool and pump. Staff at the outdoor center are happy to share ride suggestions and trail tips.
Trails nearby
The Copper Harbor Trails Club network starts at the lodge. On the property, the “Back 9” beginner loops (Chipmunk Run, Moose on the Loose and Little Loon) were built with the club and are great for kids. The lodge has also run a free Saturday morning skills ride for beginners.
Rooms
Accommodation is in 24 historic log cabins with 27 units, from one-bedroom cabins up to three bedrooms. Cabins are open year-round, and reservations must be made in advance because walk-ins are not accepted.
