Snowshoe Mountain Resort runs a group of slopeside lodges in its car-free Village, and the resort flags which of them are best for Bike Park Lodging at Snowshoe. The Village Central lodges, Allegheny Springs, Expedition Station, Highland House, Rimfire Lodge and Seneca, are the ones to pick if you came for the bike park.
Bike facilities
According to the resort’s bike-friendly lodging guide, all five Village Central lodges have bike storage, lockers and easy trail access, and a bike wash station is located in the Village by The Junction Ale House. Several North and South Mountain lodges also list outside storage or a wash station, but they are a ride or shuttle away from the lifts.
Trails nearby
The Snowshoe Bike Park is right on the doorstep, with lift-served downhill and enduro trails dropping off the mountain. The park is one of the best known on the East Coast and has hosted major international downhill races.
Rooms
The Village lodges are condominium-style, from studios to multi-bedroom units, many with kitchens. Lodging is booked through the resort, which lists bike-friendly features lodge by lodge so you can compare.
Good to know
Some lodges charge a fee for lockers. Snowshoe is high and remote, so pack for cool, wet weather even in summer.
