Mount Washington Bike Park – Lift-Served Riding on Vancouver Island
Vancouver Island's lift-served downhill park above the Comox Valley
About
Mount Washington Bike Park is the summer bike park at Mount Washington Alpine Resort, above the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. Mount Washington Bike Park is the island’s main lift-served downhill venue, and it is a short drive from Courtenay and Cumberland.
Trails and lifts
The resort trail guide lists 25 descents and access routes: 2 green, 13 blue, 6 black and 4 double-black, plus multi-use routes. There are two skills areas, Eagle and Hawk, where newer riders can practise before heading down the mountain. The Hawk and Eagle chairs serve the riding.
Tickets
The resort sells full-day, 4-hour, 2-hour and Friday night tickets, plus multi-day DirtPaks and season passes. In 2025 an adult full-day ticket was CA$59 Monday to Wednesday and CA$64 on weekends, and the adult season pass was CA$359 during the spring sale.
Programs and rentals
The resort runs a bike shop with rentals and lists summer programs and lessons on its website. Local coaching companies also hold camps here, such as a women-only weekend run with Gravity MTB coaches.
Good to know
The park runs in summer, roughly late June to September. In 2025 daily operations began on June 27. Check the resort website for trail status, dates and to buy tickets before you go.
