Mountain Bike Clinics in Laramie – City of Laramie Parks & Recreation
Affordable adult skills series and pump track clinics with BICP-certified coaches
About
The City of Laramie Parks & Recreation department runs adult Mountain Bike Clinics in Laramie every year. They are an affordable way to learn or sharpen skills on the town’s own trails.
Skills series
The Level 1 series runs over three Monday evenings and builds the basics. Level 2 follows in June for riders who want to push on. A Women’s Only series runs in July. Each session lasts two hours. There is also a single-evening cornering clinic.
Pump track clinics
In early fall, short Saturday clinics are held at the Laramie Bike Park pump track. They are a good way to learn pumping and flow.
Where you ride
The mountain bike clinics start and finish at the Recreation Center North parking lot. Some riding takes place on the Schoolyard Trail System.
Qualifications
The coaches hold Bicycle Instructor Certification Program (BICP) and/or Colorado League mountain bike coach certification.
Good to know
Clinics run from mid-May through July, with pump track sessions in September and October. Registration opens in late March. Prices are lower for recreation center members. For questions, contact the Parks & Recreation office by phone or email.
