Turkey Mountain Bike Park – Rock Yard Jumps and Downhill Trails in Tulsa, Oklahoma
Dirt jumps, downhill-only lines and rocky singletrack in Tulsa's urban wilderness
About
Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness sits on the west bank of the Arkansas River in Tulsa and is run by the River Parks Authority. Turkey Mountain Bike Park is the name riders often use for its purpose-built gravity areas, which sit inside more than 750 acres of rugged, rocky woods.
The Rock Yard
The Rock Yard Bike Park covers three acres of dirt jumps. Two stone start hubs, called the Stone River Forts, feed six trails that drop 80 to 90 feet. The lines range from intermediate to expert and are for bikes only. Spectators can watch from viewing areas.
Downhill and skills trails
A multi-year rebuild of the trail system added about five miles of downhill-only trails, including Boomtown and Black Gold. Newer riders should start at the Skyline Jumps or the Bomb Cellar, which has four progressive skills trails. The older singletrack is primitive, rocky and technical, with loops from one to five miles.
Rentals nearby
River Parks points riders to Tom’s Bicycles on South Peoria Avenue for mountain bike rentals. It is the closest bike shop to the mountain.
