Snowshoe Bike Park – Lift-Served Downhill in West Virginia
Two high-speed lifts, 40+ trails and 1,500 vertical feet of downhill
About
Snowshoe Mountain is West Virginia’s largest ski resort, high in the Allegheny Mountains of Pocahontas County. In summer Snowshoe Bike Park turns the ski slopes into a large lift-served riding area.
Terrain
Two high-speed lifts serve more than 40 trails across 1,500 vertical feet. The mix runs from beginner flow trails to steep, rocky downhill tracks, so there is plenty to explore over several days.
Lessons
The resort offers group lessons for children, teens and adults who are new to bike park riding. Skills clinics focus on drops, jumps, berms and cornering, and private lessons are tailored to your goals. Adaptive lessons run daily with Challenged Athletes of West Virginia, using trikes, quads and tandems for sit-down riders.
Rentals
Bike rentals are booked through the resort’s online shop, so you can reserve a downhill bike before you arrive.
Good to know
Snowshoe is a long drive from most cities, so most riders stay in the slopeside village for a few days. Book lessons and rentals early for summer weekends. Check the resort website for bike park hours, ticket prices and season pass options before planning a trip.
