About

Rattlesnake Bike Park is a shuttle-served mountain bike park in Fairfield County, South Carolina, about a mile off Interstate 77 between Columbia and Charlotte. It brings gravity riding to a state with few lift-served options.

Shuttles and trails

A full-service shuttle carries riders to the summit, and everyone must use it for the climb, as pedaling up is not allowed. The purpose-built trails cover all levels, from beginner to expert. Helmets are required and full-face helmets are strongly recommended.

Passes and rentals

Passes range from single-day adult and youth tickets to season passes, and are sold online. The rental fleet is made up of Propain Spindrift AL5 bikes. A rental includes a helmet, a damage waiver and a discounted day pass. Sizes are limited, so booking ahead is a good idea.

Lessons and events

Lessons and clinics at the park are booked through Charlotte coaching outfit CLT MTB. The park also hosts ride days and events through the season.

Good to know

The park is open Friday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm, rain or shine. Riders must be 12 or older to ride and 18 to rent, and under-12s must be with an adult. Weekday private group bookings are possible by email.
