About
The Outdoor Center at Trapp Family Lodge offers mountain bike rental in Stowe, Vermont, together with its own trail network on the 2,600-acre von Trapp estate. The trails link to the wider Stowe network, including Cady Hill Forest, Adams Camp and Sterling Forest.
Trails
The property has about 8 miles of intermediate and expert singletrack, more than 20 miles of double track and two skills parks. Class 1 pedal-assist e-bikes are allowed on the bike trails. Some trails are suited to adaptive riders. A trail pass is needed, with prices for adults, seniors and kids. Lodge guests get a pass included.
Rentals
The center rents Giant bikes, including kids’ bikes, hardtails and full-suspension trail bikes, by the two hours or full day. Bikes must be back by 4:45pm.
Lessons and guided rides
Private two-hour lessons are offered for one rider, and up to four riders can join for an extra fee. Private guided rides are also available on request.
Good to know
