About

Subaru of Spartanburg Bike Park, also known as the Vic Bailey Subaru Bike Park, is a free public bike park in The Rail Yard Community Park in Spartanburg, South Carolina. It is run by the nonprofit Partners for Active Living.

Features

The park packs a lot into a small area. There is a pump track, a jump line rated black diamond, a straight rhythm section, wooden wall ride, berms and drops, a rock garden and a trick jump. A 0.4 mile perimeter loop and several easy lines give newer riders plenty to do. The jump lines start from a raised platform called Container Mountain.

Who it suits

BMX, dirt jump and mountain bikes are all welcome. Helmets are mandatory and full-face helmets are recommended. The park is unsupervised, so ride within your limits.

Lessons

The park’s page lists one-on-one riding lessons with a local coach at $50 per hour. Contact details are on the park page.

Good to know

The park is open dawn to dusk and is free, but every rider must complete a digital waiver first. Riders under 18 need a guardian’s signature. Parking is along Old Glendale Road. Check the park’s Instagram for closures after rain.
