Boyne Mountain Bike Park – Lift-Served Downhill in Boyne Falls, Michigan
Chairlift-served downhill and XC riding at a northern Michigan resort
About
Boyne Mountain is a large ski and summer resort in northern Michigan, and Boyne Mountain Bike Park uses the Mountain Express chairlift to carry riders and bikes to the top of its downhill trail network.
Riding
Bike haul lift tickets give access to the downhill trails from the summit. If you prefer to pedal, the resort also has cross-country trails that suit a wide range of riders, and it sits close to the Boyne Valley Trail and other trails maintained by the local volunteer group TOMMBA.
Rentals and tours
Full-suspension mountain bikes are available to rent from the Adventure Center, which also offers helmet checks. In summer the center is open daily from 9 am to 8 pm, with the last bike going out at 7 pm. The resort also runs guided one-hour e-bike tours that leave from the Adventure Center.
Nearby
Boyne’s sister resort, The Highlands at Harbor Springs, runs a separate lift-served bike park with green to double black trails, so riders on a longer trip can visit both.
Good to know
The bike lift runs in the summer season and is closed in the off-season. Lift ticket prices and opening dates are set each year, so check the resort’s biking page before you plan a trip. Rentals and cross-country riding do not need the lift.
