Mountain Bike Coaching in Northern Wisconsin – The Spokelore
BICP Level 2 skills clinics in Wisconsin's Northwoods
About
The Spokelore is a small coaching business offering Mountain Bike Coaching in Northern Wisconsin. Coach Matt Swenson runs skills clinics and mini clinics in the Northwoods, with a focus on connection rather than competition.
Where it runs
The Spokelore is a coaching partner of WinMan Trails near Winchester, a network of more than 25 miles of purpose-built singletrack close to the Michigan border. Clinics have covered topics such as cornering and steering, rocks, drops and jumps, and there have been couples clinics too. Multi-day clinics at WinMan have been run with two coaches.
Who it suits
The clinics suit adult riders who want to build solid basics or move on to more technical features in a relaxed setting. WinMan’s trails go from easy loops to rockier, more demanding sections, so there is room to practise at different levels.
Good to know
Clinics run in the summer riding season. Dates and prices change each year, so check The Spokelore website or Instagram for the current schedule and to register. If you need a bike, rental shops in Manitowish Waters and Boulder Junction serve the WinMan trailhead.
