Brian Head Bike Park – Lift-Served Riding in Southern Utah
High-elevation lift-served park with low-cost beginner lessons
About
Brian Head Resort is in southern Utah, about three hours from Las Vegas. Brian Head Bike Park claims Utah’s highest base elevation, which keeps it cooler than the desert in summer.
Trails and lift
The Giant Steps Express chairlift serves the park, with bike carriers that hold four bikes. Twelve named trails range from Color Flow for beginners to Wild Flower for experts.
Lessons and tours
Level 1 beginner downhill lessons teach stance, cornering and braking on Color Flow. Lessons last three hours with up to six students per instructor. A lesson costs $30, or $70 as a package with a half-day lift pass and half-day bike rental. The resort also runs free guided tours from the top of Giant Steps at 10am, 12pm and 2pm on normal operating days.
Rentals
The Giant Steps rental shop has full-suspension downhill bikes. The fleet is replaced each season.
