About

Crested Butte Mountain Bike Park is at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, in a town often called one of the birthplaces of mountain biking. Crested Butte Mountain Bike Park opened in 2009 and was formerly known as Evolution Bike Park.

Trails and lifts

The park has over 30 miles of lift-served singletrack for all abilities. Riders use the Red Lady Express lift. Downhill and cross-country trails connect to the wider Crested Butte trail network, so you can mix park laps with longer rides. There is a pump track at the base and a second skills zone with bigger features at the top of Red Lady Express. Class 1 e-bikes are allowed on the lift and in the park.

Rentals and programs

Demo bikes and e-bikes are available at the base. The resort runs a Mini Riders program for kids aged 5 and 6. The Adaptive Sports Center offers downhill riding for people with disabilities.

Passes

A Summer Season Pass covers the bike park, the Adventure Park and chairlift rides. Daily and multi-day tickets are also sold. Holders of a winter Epic Pass have been offered a discount on the summer pass.

Good to know

In 2025 the park ran daily from mid-June to Labor Day, then on weekends until late September. The 2026 opening was June 13. Twilight hours on some summer evenings let you ride later. Buy tickets and passes on skicb.com.
