Flume Trail Bikes sits at the bottom of Tunnel Creek Road in Incline Village, on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. It is the go-to spot for the Flume Trail Shuttle and Bike Rentals, so you can ride the famous lake-view trail point to point and finish at the shop.
Shuttles
The Classic Marlette Flume shuttle goes to Spooner Lake for a 14-mile ride with about 1,100 feet of climbing. The 431 shuttle drops riders for the Incline Flume, the Tyrolian Downhill and the Tahoe Rim Trail from Tahoe Meadows. Most shuttles cost $22 per rider. The Cap to Tahoe shuttle, a 34-mile ride from Tahoe Meadows to Carson City, costs $40 on select weekend days and needs a reservation. A minimum of two riders is needed for a van to run.
Rentals
Day rentals start at $55 for a front-suspension Specialized Fuse. Full-suspension bikes are $75 to $100, and e-mountain bikes such as the Specialized Turbo Levo and Ibis Oso are $120 to $130. Kids’ bikes are available too. You can also rent path bikes for the East Shore Trail to Sand Harbor.
Good to know
Rentals and shuttles run from mid-May through November, snow permitting. The shop opens 10 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 9 am to 5 pm Friday to Sunday. Book online or call 775-298-2501.
