About
Looking for a bike hotel in Saalbach? Hotel Das Neuhaus is set up for mountain bikers, with secure bike storage, a bike wash, a workshop with tools, bike rental and guided rides or shuttles.
Hotel Das Neuhaus is a long-established hotel in the centre of Saalbach, in Austria’s Salzburger Land. In summer the vast ski area turns into one of the Alps’ biggest bike playgrounds, and the hotel sits right in the middle of it, with the Joker Card giving guests free use of the summer lifts.
For riders there is a lockable, video-monitored room for mountain bikes, a wash area to get your bike gleaming again and a separate room for repairs. Trekking bikes can be borrowed free of charge, mountain bikes and e-bikes can be hired for a fee, and guided bike tours with local guides can be booked.
Saalbach-Hinterglemm offers a huge choice of lift-served lines, from flowing trails such as the Hacklberg and Z-Line to steeper downhill tracks, plus long enduro and all-mountain tours across the valley. With the lifts close by and the bike room downstairs, it is an easy base for big days on the bike, and certified local guides can help you get the most out of the circuit.

- X-Line – also off the Schattberg, a demanding freeride descent of over 6 km and 1,025 vertical metres with northshore, rock sections, roots and a road gap.
- Monti Trail – a friendly, flowing line from the Kohlmais middle station with berms, rollers and wooden features; a great place to start.
- Z-Line – from the Zwölferkogel middle station in Hinterglemm, an easy-to-moderate freeride trail with berms, wall rides and northshore.
- Leogang and Fieberbrunn – ride over the ridge into the Epic Bikepark Leogang or on to Fieberbrunn; the JOKER CARD covers bike transport on the operating lifts in all three resorts.

When to ride
Choosing a bike hotel in Saalbach gives you one of the longest lift seasons in the Alps. In 2026 the Kohlmais and Zwölferkogel gondolas opened on 22 May, the Schattberg lifts ran from early June to late September, and the Zwölferkogel stayed open until late October. July and August are warm and lively, while June and September bring quieter trails and settled weather; pack a rain jacket for afternoon storms.
