About

Highland Mountain Bike Park in Northfield, New Hampshire, is one of the best-known bike parks on the East Coast of the USA, about 90 minutes north of Boston. The park is famous for its machine-built jump lines, slopestyle features and strong progression and coaching programs.

What to expect at Highland Mountain Bike Park

  • 38 lift-served downhill trails for all levels, from flowy beginner runs to big jump lines and technical tracks
  • 11 cross-country trails
  • Skills areas and two dirt jump parks
  • A 9,100 sq ft indoor training facility
  • A chairlift with bike carriers serving the park
  • Bike rentals, lessons and camps for all ages

Good to know

Highland started out as a small ski hill and has been a mountain-bike-only resort for many years, so the whole mountain is designed around riding. New riders can start in the skills areas and on the easier flow trails, while experienced riders head for the jump lines and steeper tracks. Protective gear and a full-face helmet are a good idea on the bigger features.

Season

The bike park usually opens in late April and runs into November, with fewer midweek days in spring and late autumn. Check the official website for opening days and lift ticket prices.
