Riding at altitude
Most rides start high in the Andes, so plan a few days in Cusco or the Sacred Valley to acclimatise before your first ride.
Good to know
The trails around Cusco range from fast, flowing descents on dusty valley singletrack to rocky, technical sections on old stone paths, often with big views of snow-capped peaks. Weather in the Andes changes quickly, so bring layers, rain protection and sun cream, and drink plenty of water at altitude. Ask the team when you book which rides suit your level and how many days you want to spend in the saddle.
