Inselhüpfen – MTB & Boat Croatia

Inselhüpfen runs guided MTB & boat tours in Croatia: a week of island-hopping mountain biking on board a motor yacht, with DIMB-certified local MTB guides leading every ride. It is one of the most relaxed ways to discover Croatia mountain biking on the islands of the Adriatic.

What to expect on MTB & boat tours in Croatia

You sleep on the same boat all week while it sails from island to island, and each day starts with a guided ride straight from the harbour. Tours run in the Kvarner Bay, Istria and Dalmatia.

• MTB & Boat Kvarner Bay: 8 days / 7 nights from Omišalj (Krk), riding on Istria, Cres, Lošinj, Ilovik, Rab and Krk – about 218 km and 3,400 m of climbing in total, on gravel roads and singletrails (S0–S3)
• Bike & Boat Istria and Dalmatia National Parks MTB tours
• Difficulty around level 3 of 5 (moderate fitness and technique), often with two route options per day
• One MTB guide per 12 riders, with a second guide joining for bigger groups; tours in English and German
• Rental full-suspension MTBs and e-MTBs, including premium carbon bikes

All tours are led by DIMB-certified, local guides. With professional training, years of experience and deep local knowledge, they guide you safely and confidently through every stage of the tour.

Good to know before you ride

• The tours are made for riders with solid mountain biking experience; most trails are historic island paths, from smooth and flowy to technical, and tricky sections are explained in advance and can often be bypassed
• Groups are kept small and can be split by riding ability
• You can bring your own well-maintained full-suspension MTB, or rent one; private e-MTBs are not allowed on board, but rental e-MTBs with on-board charging are available
• Helmets are mandatory; arm and leg protection and gloves are recommended

Season and prices

Departures run from late April to late October. A week on board starts from about €1,129 per person, depending on date and cabin.
