La Thuile Bike Park
Long, natural alpine singletrack with over 1,200 m of descent
About
La Thuile is a small Aosta Valley village near the Little St Bernard Pass, and its bike park is known for long, natural trails. Two chairlifts, the Bosco Express and the Chalet Express, carry riders and bikes up the mountain. From the highest points around 2,600 m you can ride more than 1,200 m of descent back to the village.
The trails change as you drop. Up high they cross open pastures with gentler gradients. Lower down they get steeper and run through forest, with roots, rocks and off-camber turns. Most graded runs are red or black, so the park suits confident enduro and downhill riders.
Near the Bosco Express there is a training area with a dual slalom, a pump track and a balance-bike course for small children. A local MTB school runs lessons and guided rides, and e-bikes can be rented in the village. The lift ticket can also include La Rosière, across the border in France.
