Bikepark Schladming

World Cup downhill and a long, mellow flowline on the Planai

Bike park Austria, Europe

About

Bikepark Schladming is on the Planai, the home mountain of Schladming in Styria. A 10-seater gondola carries riders and bikes up to around 42 km of trails, with a descent of roughly 1,000 vertical metres back to town.

The headline line is the World Cup downhill track, joined by Pro and Rookie downhills, two jump lines, the wooden Jack Lumber Trail and the Downtown Line. At the other end of the scale, the Flowline winds about 16 km to the valley with wide lanes and a gentle gradient, so newer riders can enjoy a full top-to-bottom run.

Families can start at the Bike Area in Hopsiland, which has three easy trails and a conveyor belt. Kids’ bikes, protective gear and coaching are available. The same ticket also covers the Reiteralm Trails nearby, which is handy for a multi-day trip.
