Bikepark Saalbach Hinterglemm
Long, multi-mountain descents in Austria's biggest bike region
About
Saalbach Hinterglemm lies in Salzburg’s Glemm Valley. Together with Leogang and Fieberbrunn it makes up a bike region with more than 120 km of lines and trails. In the valley itself, six lifts carry bikes, including the Kohlmaisbahn, Schattberg X-press, 12er KOGEL and Westgipfelbahn.
This isn’t one compact park. The riding is spread across several mountains with long descents, from the mellow Panorama-Line and the 6.5 km 12er Sky-Line to the steep, rocky X-Line off the Schattberg and the natural Hacklberg Trail. There are also newer lines for enduro and e-MTB riders.
Beginners and kids can practise for free in the Learn to Ride Park next to the Kohlmais base station, and several stations have pump tracks. E-bikes are allowed on the gondolas and trails.
Shops in both villages rent bikes and protective gear, and the GlemmRide festival in July brings races and big-air shows.
