Bikepark Winterberg, also known as The Mother, is one of Germany’s best-known gravity parks. It sits on the Kappe hill at the edge of Winterberg in the Sauerland, where three chairlifts serve more than 17 trails totalling over 20 km.

The mix runs from easy flow trails and a free beginner and kids’ course to fourcross, freeride, jump and wall-ride lines, a slopestyle area and a full downhill track. Most riders will find something for their level, and the compact layout means plenty of laps in a day.

On site you can rent gravity bikes and protective gear, and a bike school runs group and private skills courses plus youth camps. Private e-bikes are allowed within the lift weight limit. The season usually runs from late April into November, and the park is an easy trip from the Ruhr area, Cologne and the Netherlands.
